TroutaPalooza II
« on: March 28, 2007, 09:55:47 AM »
What is a TroutaPalooza?  Call it a Fish-in or a Conclave or just an excuse for us to get together and fish.

When: June 1,2,3Where: 5 miles west of Wild Rose WI (W9239 Apache Ave. Almond WI)
Who: Any member of this message board and their guests.

There has been some interest for the members of this board to get together and fish, tie files and BS.  I have a place a few miles west of Wild Rose that we can use and there is plenty of room for people to camp and hang out (water and electric available even a hot shower).  There is a limited # of bunks in the cabin some of which are spoken for.  There are plenty of streams are in the area, enough were I have not fished them all.

At this time Iím not going to plan out a bunch of events or raffles.  Just fish the evening hatches and hang out around the camp fire after fishing.

It seems like no mater what date I pick someone can't make it, so I'm going to put up a poll and we'll see from there.

The following dates are out...
May 19-20 2007 Prairie Clave
May 26-27 Memorial Day weekend

Steve,

what a wonderful proposal!

Steve,

yes, I suffer from premature advocation, especially when fishing dates for Hex are a factor. I must be off my meds.  ;)

Did you see my PM? You up for this Sunday?

TL,

Alistair

Steve, if you have any bunks left, please put me down for one.

Thanks, and

I'll take a plot somewhere near Matt. He will most likely have some beverages hidden somewhere!
Great Idea!  :3 :3 :3

Team,

Hidden beverages?  I am requesting a spot close to those....perhaps I will even bring some of my mead and cider.....or, perhaps, I should keep that too myself... :7

Peace,

CourtJester; whom will be in Norway May 13 - 28.

Steve,

I plan on getting in on the action this year. Any weekend will work for me because I am sure that some one has me committed to doing something or going somewhere one or more of those dates. Therefore, when ever you get together I will make an attempt to at the very least, come on over and spill a beverage or three with you folks. :3 Odds are in our favor that we will be plenty busy the last two weekends you have listed. Could make for some extra long lines of BS around a campfire. I don't get out much, but I am sure to be on the water a lot come about that time. Work and 'Honey Dos' gets put on the back burner then. I feel an affliction coming on already. COUGH COUGH.

Later.  :-15

I'd like to go and meet the guys. For me it would be like a fishing school I'm sure with all the knowledge and "experts" present.
let me know when  it's taking place.

Hello everyone!  I'm a new guy to your site.  As a matter of fact I'm a new guy to the state of Wisconsin.  We just moved here form Maryland after 60+ years.  Our daughter moved to Milwaukee 4 years ago.  Since she is our only child we decided to move, actually my wife and daughter decided we should move.   We've been touring the country in our small 25' RV for the past 6 months.  Anyway, I love flyfishing, particularly for trout.  If you don't mind an easterner from MD and a semi-retired banker joining in on the festivities I'd be greatful.  As it stands now I have no idea where to go for trout fishing.  The area we are settling in doesn't appear to offer much in the way of trout fishing.  We're moving to Kiel which is in Manitowoc county.  Sorry for the long post.  Jarhead
